On November 18, 2025, the Ministry of Water Resources of the People's Republic of China officially announced the "List of Mature and Applicable Water Conservancy Science and Technology Achievements for Promotion in 2025". With the support of the provincial water resources department and under the leadership of the Water Science Research Institute, after three years of hard work and numerous difficulties, Changsha Tongqiang's electro-osmosis pulse dam seepage prevention technology was selected for promotion by the Ministry of Water Resources in 2025. This marks that the advanced nature and maturity of this technology in solving seepage problems in water conservancy projects have been officially recognized at the national level, and it has entered the ranks of the "national team" in the field of water conservancy disaster prevention and mitigation.
Under the high attention of the Water Resources Department of Hunan Province and with the strong support of the Hunan Provincial Water Resources and Hydropower Research Institute, the Institute of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation of the Water Resources Institute, in collaboration with Tongqiang Technology, established a 1:20 large-scale dam model of the electro-osmosis pulse intelligent method. After three years of joint efforts by the scientific and technological workers of both sides, relying on their profound technical accumulation and continuous innovative practice, they stood out.

The "Key Technology of Three-dimensional Anti-seepage for Electro-osmotic Pulse Dam" innovatively integrates electro-osmotic pulse technology with cloud space and Internet of Things technology, achieving intelligent and data-driven management of leakage and moisture problems in underground and underwater structures. The system features remote detection, control and maintenance capabilities, enabling real-time monitoring and precise intervention of seepage conditions in dams and other water conservancy facilities, forming an effective "three-dimensional anti-seepage" barrier, and thus thoroughly resolving the long-standing leakage and stability issues that have plagued water conservancy projects.

The key technology of three-dimensional anti-seepage for electro-osmosis pulse dam has achieved remarkable results in many water conservancy projects such as Longhui Jiangzitian Hydropower Station and Liuyang Daliping Hydropower Station. Meanwhile, this technology can be applied to multiple fields including road subgrade, civil air defense projects, national defense storage, subway tunnels, cultural relics protection and civil buildings. The successful application and promotion of this technology in the field of water conservancy dam anti-seepage will further expand its application scope, directly serving the national water security strategy and infrastructure construction, which is of great significance.

The inclusion in the "2025 List of Mature and Applicable Water Conservancy Science and Technology Achievements for Promotion" marks that Tongqiang Technology's electro-osmosis pulse technology has received authoritative recognition at the national level.
